Although Orne Porsteinsson is mainly known for his large sculptures in public spaces, some of his most memorable works of art are the “Travel pieces”. These are miniature sculptures made from pliable materials that he carries with him wherever he goes. The travel pieces are his thoughts made visible, ruminations on the Icelandic landscape and mythology and biomorphic fantasies arising from it.
